Lindos main beach, Megalos Gialos (Μεγάλος Γυαλός), is a long sandy beach, well protected from weather by the rocky peninsula of Aghios Emilianos. It is a well organized beach that offers a wide range of swimming and sunbathing facilities, water sports, beach bars and some nice restaurants. Sea water is excellent, cool and crystal clear, inviting for swimming. From the beach you can enjoy a stunning view of the village of Lindos and its Acropolis.

As it is a very popular beach, crowds of people are arriving every day from all around the island. For family groups or for those wishing to avoid the large crowds, a better choice is the Palace beach, at the extreme end of the beach, where the shallow waters makes it ideal for small children.
