Anti-austerity strike on Rhodes

The first big anti-austerity strike since a coalition government took power in June, is taking place today. On Rhodes shops pulled down their shutters as people took the streets to protest. Transports and pubic services were shut for the strike but no major problems were reported. The airport is open, some delays are expected but flights are departing regularly.
