Ocean Village Cruises has announced the launch of a brand-new action programme as part of its new eastern Mediterranean cruise itineraries.
The Action Ashore programme will appeal to those of you looking for hi-octane thrills on an adventure cruise, as well as those wanting to just lay back, relax and enjoy the sun.
Activities on offer for those after an adrenaline fix range from horse riding in Turkey and quad biking in Dubrovnik to the fun of zip wiring in Greece and mountain bike rides using cycles provided onboard.
Gill Haynes, head of marketing communications for Ocean Village Cruises, said: “This year’s brand new eastern Med sailings have given us the opportunity to put together an Action Ashore programme that’s as full-on or laid-back as people want to make it.”
She added that those who prefer the excitement of a cultural cruise holiday can take in the delights of the medieval history of Rhodes or ancient Greek civilization in Athens.
The original Ocean Village liner weighs in at 63,500 tons and hosts 1,578 passengers on 11 decks, with a length of 247 metres and breadth of 32 metres.
