Greek Elections 2009

Coming Sunday, October 4, will be a Parliamentary elections day in Greece. On September 2, Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis of New Democracy party, announced he would request President Karolos Papoulias to dissolve Parliament and call an election, 2 years earlier from end of his mandate. Parliament was dissolved on September 9 and main parties that will participate at the elections are:
ND – New Democraсy
PASOK – Panhellenic Socialist Movement
KKE – Communist Party of Greece
LA.O.S. – Popular Orthodox Movement
SYRIZA – Coalition of the Radical Left
Ecologists Greens
