New London Stansted route to Rhodes

Ryanair expanded its Greek network on 7 July when the low-cost airline connected its London Stansted (STN) base with the island of Rhodes (RHO). Flights on the 2,785-kilometre route operate twice a week with the airline’s 189-seat 737-800s. Direct competition comes from Thomson’s weekly service, but there is also indirect competition from other London airports. Thomson also operates once a week from London Luton, while from London Gatwick, there are four airlines serving Corfu; easyJet, Thomson, Thomas Cook and Monarch.
