Vaccination amidst skepticism
While the vaccination of the general population against the swine flu started this morning there is still some skepticism for the possible side effects. These concerns were fueled at the end of last week when a prosecutor in Rhodes ordered an urgent investigation in the matter of the possible side effects of the vaccine. Although the spread of the H1N1 virus in Greece is still low, mainly because of the good weather conditions, there is a great concern of a sharp increase in the numbers of people contracting the virus. Meanwhile, the number of people to have died in Greece after becoming infected with swine flu rose to 19 yesterday.
