Lindos main beach
Lindos main beach, Megalos Gialos (Μεγάλος Γυαλός), is a long sandy beach, well protected from weather by the rocky peninsula of Aghios Emilianos. It is a well organized beach that offers a wide range of swimming and sunbathing facilities, water sports, beach bars and some nice restaurants. Sea water is excellent, cool and crystal clear, inviting for swimming. From the beach you can enjoy a stunning view of the village of Lindos and its Acropolis.
Lindos main beach can also be accessed by the sea. Daily excursion boats are departing from the port of Faliraki and Mandraki harbor in Rhodes town center. It is an Ideal place for sun bathers, wishing to spend whole day by the sea, in highly cosmopolitan surrounding. Here you can meet people from all around the world, young and older, although it is most favored by Brits and Italians. As it is a very popular beach, crowds of people are arriving every day from all around the island. For family groups or for those wishing to avoid the large crowds, a better choice is the Palace beach, at the extreme end of the beach, where the shallow waters makes it ideal for small children.
Located close to Megalos Gialos, Lindos Pallas beach is a smaller and quieter option. It offers the same clear waters and golden sand but with fewer crowds. This beach is perfect for those looking to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the main beach. Facilities include sunbeds, umbrellas, and a few nearby eateries
